The birth of Ryan’s Mathematics

Welcome to the first post of Ryan’s Mathematics.

First thing’s first, let’s discuss why I’m writing this blog.

Starting September, I will be beginning my degree in Maths. Now a degree in Maths is no walk in the park; it’s challenging, frustrating and just downright difficult. So why do Maths? Well because it’s fun. Maths is the backbone of everything we use in

Because Math can be fun

day-to-day life, it’s in our smartphones, TV’s, credit cards and even in our food.

So yeah, Maths is cool, but why not let someone else take care of that? Well there are so many personal benefits to studying the precise science behind Maths. Problem solving skills and logic thinking become second nature, critical thinking and understanding concepts opens your mind up to much more than just working out some algebraic functions.

I don’t know where this blog is going to go yet, it’s too early to tell. So for now, it’s going to be a place for me to come and document my learning experience, post about things I’m struggling with or things I enjoy.

I will also try to include some math in each and every post. So for now:

pi = 3.14159265359
